Call for submissions

We are looking for stories, poetry, and art about being a pirate on the seas. or dealing with pirates. we are looking for the heroic and dashing, the dangerous and epic.

All genres are welcome, as long as they follow the theme.

Requirements:

Story word count Minimum 3k – maximum 6k

Flash Fiction word count max: 1000

Art/Photography: up to five must be printable quality

Poetry/Haiku: up to 5 each per topic

Submissions email to Faecorpspublishing@gmail.com with a subject of Across the Stolen Seas Submission is to be sent as either an attachment or Google Docs Link.

Due by: August 1st, 2026 Specific Theme Story/Flash Fiction/Poetry/Art/Haiku/Photography.

Currently, there are 9 story slots and 10 slots for art/poetry, etc.

We may if we receive enough quality submissions decide to open up more volumes to accommodate more openings.

This is a paid anthology. You will if you get in receive a portion of the royalties…however you will be expected to assist in the marketing of the anthology. Editing is provided. If your story/poetry is in draft form it is still acceptable, however, it must be readable. Gore is acceptable, however, do keep it reasonable, no one wants to read gore for gore’s sake. We do not accept erotica at this time. We are here to showcase good indie authors and are more than willing to help those just getting started. We will accept stories that have been published before, as long as you retain publishing rights.

We use discord to facilitate the process of publishing the Anthology. if this is going to be an issue please let us know with your submission. it is not a deal breaker but it is necessary information.

Fae Corps Indie Rules

Rules for the Indie Authors at Fae Corps 

    We will provide to the best of our ability:

  • A cover to your liking. (Patti will provide 3 covers to start the conversation and work with you from there. She will attempt to give you what you are looking for but she will not accept abuse)
  • A formatted manuscript. This includes placement of illustrations as provided. (we can recommend a few illustrators)  However if you are not happy with our work, you are free to get your manuscript done elsewhere.
  • Copy Editing. Again. We will not accept abuse. We are willing to do this as part of the package but we do not have to put up with being abused for doing so. If you require other types of editing we can recommend good editors who charge fair fees. 
  • A digital proof. If you want a physical proof you are responsible for covering the costs.
  • A marketing package which we will talk to you about. Again we do not expect you to abuse  us due to differences in opinion on how this should be done. 
  • Publication to multiple platforms. In Ebook and Paperback. We can discuss hardback as not all books are suited for this format. If you can provide the recording to the proper specifications we are willing to also publish audio.

       Each of the services we provide our authors are time consuming and expensive elsewhere. We do provide them with no extra cost because we believe in our authors. However…we have had several authors decide that they are entitled and abuse our staff. We deserve to be treated as well as we treat you. Thank you for your time.

playing a game of solitaire
with a deck of twenty eight cards
is as wrong as me being here

i think of all the adventures we

give me the large dose 
small doses of kindness
are beautiful,
yet sometimes are not 
enough;

surviving off of crumbs 
a soul can still starve—

i prefer large doses
of kindness that last and
linger on more than 
a single day,

i want do be drowned in
flowers, trinkets, affection,
compliments, and love;

i want to know i matter
to someone else
other than me—

i want to linger on the mind
as a dream or a haunting
crow, whose inky black feathers
and eerie song bring no peace
in accordance to how
a soul treated me.
