We here at Fae Corps Publishing are accepting submissions.
This can be art, poetry, stories, or even full Manuscripts.
However, lately we have been receiving quite a few submissions with no idea what the person is meaning to submit it for.
So, here is the rules for our submission acceptance.
- Email to faecorpspublishing@gmail.com with a subject of what you are submitting it for. Options include the Blog, the Newsletter, and anthologies. If you are submitting a full Manuscript then publication is also an option.
- Include a bio written in third person. Preferably with a picture.
- Submissions should be in either a Google docs link or an Docs attachment in the email. This makes it easier for us to read it.
- Font should be either Times New Roman, Courier, Ubuntu or liberation Serif – 12 pt. sized. Again this is for the ease of reading the submission.
- Pre-published work is accepted with proper attribution. Same with concurrent submissions. We prefer to know about such things.
- We use Discord to facilitate files and publication. Let us know ahead if this is going to be a problem. we do not bar from publication those who cannot use Discord but it is nice to be informed.
- Our calls for submission have a suggestion for word count on them. This is not a firm number. If you are uncertain always err on the side of submission. We are not unkind in our rejections.
- No Generative AI. Period. This includes your bio picture. If you send us something made with AI, we will assume all your work is AI and refuse you.
- simultaneous submission is accepted, as long as we are informed.
We respond quickly to emails, but we are quite busy so there is no guarantee on publication. We also have a quality that we try to hold our catalog to.
Rules for the Indie Authors at Fae Corps
We will provide to the best of our ability:
- A cover to your liking. (Patti will provide 3 covers to start the conversation and work with you from there. She will attempt to give you what you are looking for but she will not accept abuse)
- A formatted manuscript. This includes placement of illustrations as provided. (we can recommend a few illustrators) However if you are not happy with our work, you are free to get your manuscript done elsewhere.
- Copy Editing. Again. We will not accept abuse. We are willing to do this as part of the package but we do not have to put up with being abused for doing so. If you require other types of editing we can recommend good editors who charge fair fees.
- A digital proof. If you want a physical proof you are responsible for covering the costs.
- A marketing package which we will talk to you about. Again we do not expect you to abuse us due to differences in opinion on how this should be done.
- Publication to multiple platforms. In Ebook and Paperback. We can discuss hardback as not all books are suited for this format. If you can provide the recording to the proper specifications we are willing to also publish audio.
Each of the services we provide our authors are time consuming and expensive elsewhere. We do provide them with no extra cost because we believe in our authors. However…we have had several authors decide that they are entitled and abuse our staff. We deserve to be treated as well as we treat you. Thank you for your time.
