A Fan Fic poem

The Fae Story Aray

by Jennifer Elliott

Some flit and play
Some walk and say what a gorgeous day
All the fae come to the Corps
They share their stories
They share their poems
Pieces of their lives
Pieces of their souls
Some fileted on display
Some in sunshine and glowing
Does anyone outside the Corps
know how much these stories are worth ?
Can they see the starlight that each author gave?

Jennifer Elliott is a nerd, mom, wife, and avid book collector. She loves learning new things and reading new stories with her three little munchkins. Her goal is to write a good haunted house story and then become a better writer as she goes. She recently has been published in both of the Darkness Screams Anthologies. (Howling Deep & Whisper Quiet)

Author Spotlight – The Tenth Zodiac

The Tenth Zodiac, also known as Nina Mohan, is a wonderful Poet and Author. Her site is filled with verse and delights. She writes short stories as well as poetry, and publishes to Spillwords press.

We asked her why she chose to become an Indie writer and her response was that she wanted to be known as being a writer. We have no doubt that this up and comer will achieve that goal. Her blog shows her more than capable.

When asked if she ever suffered with writer’s block and how do she dealt with it, her response was “Oh yes I have. I wait for it to pass and then a come back is always amazing !!”

Married with a young son, Nina juggles everything well. We look forward to seeing more from her in the future!

Kim Malinowski – Author Spotlight

A delightful Faery in disguise, Kim came to us to be spotlighted! A poet and all around creative, Kim can be found dancing through mushroom rings when she is away from home. She has two lovely pet cats and lives in Laurel, MD.

When asked if she ever suffered with writer’s block and how she dealt with it, Her response was so delightful.
“I call it “writer’s anxiety.” I believe in colored pens, breaking up the page or screen, and junk journals.”

She considers herself both traditional and indie when it comes to writing, and we are pleased to present her to you. Maybe I can talk her into a discussion sometime about Television and share interest in one of the classics. (She indicated an interest in the original Beauty and the beast program with Ron Perlman. It is one of my favorites.)

Laura Moverin – Author Spotlight

Hello everyone! Today we had the lovely Laura Moverin speak with us about her writing.

We asked her how long she has been writing and who (or what) got her started. She said she has been writing her entire life. She said one of her teachers, Helen Hanson, was a great influence, particularly in poetry.

We discussed being her being an Indie Author, and this is what she had to say: “I’m probably a bit of a maverick and I’ve never been that wise in business so I guess you could say this is the likely place I would land.”

When we asked if she had been published, she told us that we could find her in Fudoki Magazine and a number of poetry journals. She also has a website, 4love alone, here on WordPress.

We asked her about where she lives, what her hobbies are, and if she has any pets. She told us she lives in Brisbane, Queensland. She loves to dabble in art with mixed media and has three cats named Ember, Jasper, and Bliss.

We had a nice talk about writer’s block and if she ever deals with it. She said she does and she deals with it by switching back and forth between painting and writing. She never loses her connection with the creative spark, it just takes different forms. She also believes that it is okay to have fallow times where you rest and regenerate. And we totally agree!

Make sure you share this post with your friends and check out her website – 4love alone- here on WordPress!

Stephen Michael Berberich

Stephan is a journalist, an amateur horticulturist, a naturalist, and he writes about fictional characters as a way to express how he really feels about things. He has been a creative for 74 years and writes novels and short stories.

We asked him how he started, and he told us it was back in fourth grade. He loves being an Indie Author because it gives him freedom. For fun, he toils in his garden and writes in his home in Maryland, USA.

Author Spotlight Beverly L Anderson

First I apologize to all of the authors who have been on hold for months. We had to showcase the anthology authors and this got put on hold as I was too busy to do what needed done. I am back at it. I will be going through one a week on Thursday until I get you all.

We are starting with the amazing Beverly L Anderson. Her answers to our questions tightly match the Bio on her Amazon page. And I found the Bio more fun…so I am sharing it. Her books look pretty and have some neat ideas behind them. She said that she, when faced with writer’s block just changes to something else until it passes.

Beverly L. Anderson started writing at the age of eleven, and when she did it was obvious she wasn’t going to stick to the every day. Her first story, written in a series of spiral notebooks, was about a kidnapping. There’s no surprise that these days, she favors the dark corners of the psyche over the happy and fluffy parts. To better understand the mind of her characters, Beverly specialized in psychology and counseling in school, and holds a master’s degree in the latter.

Beverly’s other hobbies include gaming of all types, transgender and autism advocacy, and writing fanfiction. She herself has gone on the journey of self-discovery in the last few years, finally pinning down her identity after nearly thirty years of searching. Coming out as bigender and pansexual was one of the hardest things she’s ever done, but it gave her the confidence to become herself even more. An autistic parent of two autistic kids, and an eclectic pagan, Beverly finds herself at odds with a lot of what society calls “normal”. Her interest in the BDSM community began as simple curiosity, but has led her to the road to finding a place for herself there as a switch.
