Author Spotlight Serena Mossgraves

Serena Mossgraves is a twisted faery with the urge to scare the unwitting reader. Her dark tales of nightmares excite the unwary. She has been seen prowling around looking for new tales to twist and share. She is an avid reader who has always enjoyed the more Gothic settings. If you are not afraid to seek her out she is on Facebook at www.facebook.com/serenitysfall and will gladly visit with you there.

Books By Serena Mossgraves
Rust, Gore, and the Junkyard Zombie
The Death of Neverland

Anthologies
Under the Mists
Faery Footprints
Through the Sunshine
Fae Dreams
Nightmare Whispers Volume II Madness Echoes
Nightmare Whispers Volume III What Remains

Serena swore that she would be in every anthology that Fae Corps put out. She even sent two stories for us to pick from for Nightmare Whispers. She did not know that we would receive so many quality submissions that we would split the volume three ways. So she is not going to be in the first Nightmare Whispers volume, and is actually OK with that. She is pleased with the group of stories and poetry that she has found herself a part of.

Coming Soon

We have four anthologies Coming out October 31st. We are working hard to make them something amazing to read! And there are multiple authors and artists involved in each one. So I will be doing , Starting tomorrow, a spotlight on each of them. Some are in multiple volumes. So I will be doing the normal posts and author spotlights until we have them all. I think I may end up doing multiple each day (I will do myself a schedule to get it done.) there is going to be quite a few things posted in the next month discussing the authors and the anthologies. Come back to watch and cheer the creatives on.

Corrected Author Lists for Nightmare Whispers

So I have fixed my mistakes in the author lists. I had failed to list our art contributor, and I missed one author in Volume 3. I also messed up on one of the authors name spelling. I am human and humans make mistakes… However I do apologize for those mistakes. Here are our lists with the correct spelling and the full list of the authors.

Our Nightmare Whispers

Here is the author lists! We are going to start to shine our spotlight on them. We also have a few more from the spotlight list to squeeze in…. So there is a lot more coming up here soon!

Nightmare Whispers *Tentative Lists

We are pleased to announce the Authors involved in the Nightmare Whispers Anthologies. There are a couple of Artists who due to circumstance was given a delayed deadline till the 7th. So this list may fluctuate slightly (Two possible more people) Otherwise this is the lists. Look forward between now and their release on Halloween for more details! And Due to the sheer amount of Quality submissions we recieved we decided to do one more..Yeah I know that is why we did two volumes…But even with rejection letters sent we were still getting more in. So Fae Corps is announcing a third Nightmare Whispers. The final volume of horror stories under that Heading. Here is the cover. I will Share the Author List next Thursday as we are awaiting a couple of email confirmations. So Thursday next week I will share the final lists for all three.

Author Spotlight : K.T. Seto

K.T. Seto wallows in what if. She writes Speculative Fiction with a paranormal bent that ranges from paranormal and fantasy, to science fiction and all things in between.

Look for news of her work on social media @KatAboutThat on Instagram, @kat_about on Twitter and K.T. Seto-Author on Facebook. Or just go to her website ktseto.com

We asked her several questions. Her answers were both Fun and enlightening.

How long have you been a Creative? I call myself a renaissance curvmugeon. I have been creating all my life and focused on becoming a published author for the past 3 years.

Why did you choose to be an Indie Author? Because the market has changed and the only way to be seen in a crowded field is to prove you can do it yourself first.

Has any of your work been published/shown or do you have a website? If so, where? Currently have stories published online in Write of Passion Literary Journal, Dragon’s Within- Claiming her Wings (available on Amazon and a few other places including the publisher’s website- Balance of Seven) *Editor’s note – She is also one of our authors from Through the Sunshine and has Submitted a story for Nightmare Whispers.

What do you do for fun? Hobbies? I paint in oils and sculpt in wire, bake, I read everything and crochet.

What or who got you started?
I can’t remember when I started creating. I come from a family of creators. But Debbie at Sacred Rebels convinced me to try and put my work into the world.

Have you ever suffered with writer’s block? If so how do you deal with it?
Often. I manage by immersing myself in something different until I get itchy to write again.

Do you have family or pets you want to share with us?
I am a mother and grandmother

We look forward to seeing more from this talented and wonderful author.

Scheduled introductions

Ok, I was lapse this week. Cyndi usually does other things and leaves the blog up to me…My notes are a mess and she couldn’t do the author spotlight for me. I was not well and ended up being unable to give either blog the attention it needed. I apologize and have decided to try to do some posts ahead so that these go up when they are supposed to, whether I feel good or not.

So here is the schedule for the author spotlights and such: On August 20 We will be featuring Christine Bialczak. On August 27 we will feature K.T. Seto (who was in Through the Sunshine but I am not finding on the blog…probably me being absent minded.) On September 3 We will feature Melissa Ball On September 10 we will be taking a short break from the author spotlights to announce the authors in the two anthologies that we are currently taking submissions for. The deadline is August 31 so the tenth gives us time to sort the incoming submissions to determine who will be in the anthologies.

We will be returning to the author spotlights after that, as I have 3 more on my list (Susan Eaton, Janean McBreaty, & George Latimer). However, I also will be doing author spotlights for the authors in Fae Dreams and Nightmare Whispers.

If you are interested in being featured here then fill out the questionnaire and I will slip you into the queue. Also, remember the deadline for Fae Dreams and Nightmare Whispers is fast approaching. We are rather pleased with the submissions received so far.
