“THE MEANING OF LIFE

AND

THE WORLD ACCORDING TO ME”

Does God have a plan, what Is his plan, could this be his experiment,
From our first breath until our last breath there Is life In between.

The mystery of why we are here Is perhaps overthought, what Is this life,
We walk and dream In this short existence known to us as forever.

The meaning of life appears very simple and not so confusing dear one,
Sit back and listen as I give my heart felt thoughts of where we are and why.

Watch the trees, see them dance against the unseen but softly felt breeze,
Do you believe what has been put before you and me, understand the gift.

Love and laughter, pain and sorrow, must be a feeling for all to know,
All that lives Is born to die, from the beginning of time we age and…

Are We What We Create?

rosejfairchild's avatarRose J. Fairchild

Good morning, Spriggans, Sprites, and creatures of light! My son wanted to paint this morning, so I created a base for a painting I’ll be working on as I can. The horse was inspired by the ones depicted in Holly Black’s “Folk of the Air” series.

How I love that series…

Anywho, it got me thinking about the art I usually create. They tend to go one of two ways…either there is some sort of joyous freedom or escape as above, or there’s teeth, claws, and spikes everywhere (or even better, some combination of the two!). Both are huge pieces of me…but more like things I always longed for as a kid.

In the past I wished for freedom, so I created it in pictures, poems and stories. And I also often wished I had magic, fangs, and claws…of a sort anyway, and that has forever been evident in my…

We Will Go Home Across the Mountains

Happy St. Patrick’s Day, all! As an Irish American, a mythology/religion major, and a pagan, I have a lot of complicated feelings about this holiday, but I do appreciate the chance to revel in the swirling, turbulent history of our world and my own family (and blast my Irish folk music without restraint).

Soul Drugs

Saintswest's avatarSAINTSWEST

Dance your dance.
Yeah, shake it!
Make it!
Take this chance….
Soul Drugs.

Make your move.
Yeah, drive in!
Dive in!
Shoot your shot….
Soul Drugs.

High on happenstance.
Stoned on serendipity.

Why loose the light of life to live and love it surreptitiously?

Get that thing.
Yeah, cop it!
Drop it!
Demon or Hellcat….
Soul Drugs.

Tell your fable.
Yeah, teach it!
Preach it!
My life in verse….
Soul Drugs.

Strung out on hope and fear.
Doped up on perseverance.

My soul won’t wait to die…
I’ll live on Earth in paradise!

No excuses.
Yeah, make it!
Take it!
Burn it down….
Soul Drugs.

Faster, harder.
Yeah, own it!
THRONE IT!
The world is ours….
Soul Drugs.

Freedoms

“All logic and reason escaped me.
Because all I wanted was you.
And I couldn’t bring myself to care.”

And I felt it in my bones. The beat of my heart matched the hammering of your footsteps on the cool concrete. And I listened to your soles crunching the gravel beneath them. In those moments, as you came towards me, I felt free. Open. Like nothing in the world could stop us. Like you were the only thing I would ever need. Like not even oxygen would sustain me. All logic and reason escaped me. Because all I wanted was you. And I couldn’t bring myself to care.
