The Ripple Effect

A truly wonderful poem.

ivor20's avatarIvor.Plumber/Poet

I’m an old branch of driftwood on the beach

Why do they think the fire within me is out of reach

I see our universe in a blade of grass

And every barricaded window is only a piece of glass

Our combined pointed scratches will shatter panes into light

Every sharp word we write, will be another molar bite

Every tiny drop in the river, eventually flows into the sea

Every little ripple on the lake, begins a wave set free

Do not be quiet, speak proudly, and have a say

Our voices are amassing strength, do not delay

The cloudy silence, enforced by corporate powers

Cannot be the way to nurture our earth’s flowers

Things are happening!!

Copyright @FaeCorpsInc

Hey all, Cyndi here with some awesome news! With the new year starting, Patti and I have put our heads together and decided to expand Fae Corps. We will no longer be Fae Corps Publishing but Fae Corps Inc! We will have two ‘arms’ of the company – Fae Corps Publishing, which will stay right here were we’ve been, AND Fae Corps Studios, which is where we will have a separate website.

FCP will continue with publishing and showcasing authors and aritsts. FCS will be where Patti and I showcase and sell our various arts and crafts. Once we have that set up and ready to go, we will post the link, but it will take a while as we have the amazing upcoming release party and release day of Faery Footprints!

SO! Make sure you are following this blog so you can keep up to date with all the new things that will be happening this year!

We also would like to thank each and every person that has supported us and helped us get to where we are! We never dreamed we would be noticed this much and as busy! So thank you thank you thank you!!

Much love,

Cyn and Patti

Exploring the Writing Community: Fae Corps Publishing

ckelley's avatarCK Fiction

Not too long ago, I was featured with an interview with Fae Corps Publishing.  In the interest of sharing resources with the writing community, I asked if I could repay the favor, and they were gracious enough to participate!  Their mission regarding the indie community is right in line with my own, so without further adieu, let’s learn more about this great independent writing resource.

From their facebook page:

Fae Corps Publishing was created by two sisters, Patti Harris and Cyndi Pilcher. We are both Indie Authors and Artists and wanted to help others been seen.
It isn’t easy being an Indie. We all work our buns off to make sure our work is perfect before we get it into the hands of our fans. We do all the legwork once our work is done. All the marketing, the sales, setting up pages/websites, etc is all on us.

Beyond the veil exists a world of enchanting Fae known for their temptation and trickery. From the sirens of the ocean depths to the kindly tree dwellers of the forest, these creatures lure you in with their beguiling charms.

Humans should be wary of the faery folk, particularly those who tread with darkness at their heels.

Take a journey to the sea where mermaids seek vengeance upon arrogant humans and ruthless pirates refuse to heed the Harbinger warning. A dip into the forest reveals a tree holding the evil of all mankind, while a naive woman becomes enthralled with the idea of building a fairy home only to be taken in by the wiles of a deceptive changling.
