Knots On Blue Paper Lines

ivor20's avatarIvor.Plumber/Poet

Eyelids are heavy and tired

Overcome by the dazzle of razzle

My heart lays here empty

Softly yearning inside my chest

This mind of mine, feels worn and torn

Time is tick-tocking, constantly chiming

Ringing, between today and tomorrow

While the poets pen is scrawling

Knots on blue paper lines

Hanging them out, to dry and die

My arms are slowly fluttering

Searching for yesterday’s wings

As I continue to walk my journey

With this rusty and ageing limp

The lyrics of the ‘Airbourne Toxic Event’s’, song below, I think are profoundly outstanding, and well worth reading as you listening to the tune..

Wrap Around Me

Amber twilight

wrapping its arms

around day

as you wrap arms

around me

saying

the night is ours

let’s show the sunset

what color love is

“and one day i stopped without wanting to” – Nayana Nair

Nayana Nair's avatarit rains in my heart

i am a girl who reads too much between lines, especially yours.
and your words, they were cold
but they were warmer than the pages they were written on.
and since i wanted to love you
i tried to see your world as one big adventure
even when my heart was filled with fear.
i tried to do things that might make you happy,
to say the words that might put you at ease.
though i suffered greatly,
being with you made up for everything,
or so i thought.
but in the hope to be loved
i bent a little too much
forgot where to stop,
i went overboard with the idea of sacrifices and promises
and forgot to look at the blood and life i had lost.

one day he would grow up,
one day he would realize,
one day his love for me, would actually feel like…

The vast night sky
I see pinpoints of light
Dancing with the rhythm of life
I join
The Dance
Swaying with all of Creation
The Universe pulsing
Its heart beating

Yesterday’s tomorrow

sirhanz's avatarKnotty Thoughts

There are times we dream,

In the quiet spaces,

When we take a moment,

To just breathe,

Scattered thoughts,

That evaporate like dew,

As we focus on our work,

Condense once again,

To rain down,

And fill us with desire,

In the silence,

Filled with only,

Heartbeat and breath,

We quench our thirst,

With the fantasy,

Of yesterday’s tomorrow.

Best wishes -SirHanz
