Meet the Author : Rose J. Fairchild

According to Rose her submisson was inspired by my daughter’s loss of her first top front tooth. “As she gently placed it in the little box we use for the tooth fairy, she said with tears in her eyes, ‘I’m really going to miss being a kid.’ “

“Rose lives in upstate NY with her husband, two kids, and furry companions. She works at a local library where she acts as a clerk and does all the children’s programming, both on and offsite. Currently, she is working on a retelling of “Beauty and the Beast,” which is one of her all-time favorite fairy tales! The main character is based on her grandmother—one of the strongest people she’s ever had the pleasure of knowing in her life. She (along with Rose’s fiery daughter) is her muse and an inspiration to women everywhere. It has been joyous to include some of her life experiences in Rose’s novel, and she hopes someday to share it with the world”

We are truly excited to have Rose’s Fairy Dust in Through the Sunshine.

Ok… We will be sharing Meet the Author posts for Through the Sunshine starting later today… We still wanted to do the regular posts as well though.

Teaser Tuesday is where you show us what you are working on! Comment some of your newest W. I. P. Or even a bit of a blurb. Don’t have something that you want to share? Then point to another indie to boost their work. Be sure to look through the comments and boost up the ones posted!

Today is the deadline Through the Sunshine. I plan to take the weekend for Cyn and I to go through the entries. Monday there will be a post that will reveal the authors and story titles accepted. We are going to start sharing bios and spotlighting authors after that. We are looking for a June release.

Indie Wednesday

Let us see your work! Link to something that you have done recently, art or word. This post will be shared on all platforms, so comment on any or all as you feel comfortable.

Or not feeling like sharing? Boost another indie!

Deadline is near

So we extended the deadline! And it was for good… As we have received some more amazing stories since the extension. We really want you to answer the call for submissions! Remember the story requirements are 3500-5000 wc and a light or good fae subject. To enter send it as a doc format to faecorpspublishing@gmail.com with the subject of Through the Sunshine.

We will be helping the authors in the anthology by editing the stories, so if it is a first draft it is still acceptable. We look forward to what you are sending us!

Teaser Tuesday

It’s that time again!

Tell us about your work in progress! Or something that you have published! Or link to some one else’s great writing to help us see them!

Give us a teaser and links to find you!

Author Spotlight – Brenda Hale

Hello everyone! Today we have another great spotlight for you! Brenda Hale, also known as Beverly L. Anderson, is an author that has been writing since she was 11 years old, which as she told us was back in 1991. That is quite a long time to be writing. What started her? Her grandmother. When she was eleven years old, her grandmother was in the hospital and later passed away. All during that time, Brenda wrote in a stack of notebooks that she had handy.

We asked her why she chose to become an Indie Author and she told us because she likes the control it gives her over her product. She also gets to make all of the decisions. She pointed out, which is true, that locating people that will take on brand new authors isn’t an easy task and with the publishing tools that are available nowadays, there are plenty of ways for authors to get their work out there.

For fun she likes to game: Tabletop, PC, and Console. She lives in Missouri with her two kids and their two cats, Castiel and Bobby.

When dealing with writers block, she usually switches to writing something different to break through.

Her work has been published and you can find it here: https://bit.ly/phoenixreal and her website is http://bit.ly/phoenixrealhome.

We are so glad we had a chance to have this interview with Brenda and hope that you all check out her website and her work!
