Meet the Author : Tish MacWebber

This is the second time that we have been blessed with working with Tish. Her eye for detail, and general Upbeat personality, make working with her so much fun. Her story continues the story from Under The Mists, though it works as a standalone.

Tish Mac Webber’s writing is her purpose, creativity is her passion, and jewellery designing is her pleasure.
She is the author who is Always Thinking… the jewellery designer who is Always Blinging…The woman who is Always Beautiful… and her superpower is always being full of surprises!

#Tishspiration, her creation, is defined as the art of surprising yourself. She is inspired by the ocean, especially where the Atlantic Ocean kisses the beaches of Cape Breton Island, where her own story began.

Tish MacWebber, Always Blinging… her jewellery designing hobby is the latest addition to her website. Her speciality is creating one of a kind, custom designs for her clients. She loves to delight her customers with her interpretations of what they order, staying true to her gifts of being full of surprises, and putting her talents to full use.

Her newest addition to her many accomplishments is as a representative for Younique. She is exploring her own beauty and helping others find theirs. You can follow her progress at https://www.facebook.com/alwaysbeautifulwithtish/

In October 2018, her first book, From Where I am Sitting… A Collection of Cat Tales was published and is available on Amazon. It will be accompanied by her Limited Cat Tales Jewellery Collection, which can also be found on her website. Tish MacWebber is currently writing her second book, in which she will explore her concept of #Tishspiration. Meet the Author : Michael Guzman

Michael has been an invaluable reader for Cyndi and I since before we founded Fae Corps. We are especially happy to have him with us as a writer. We hope that he continues to join us with his amazing stories.

Michael is a lifelong nerdy geek, though it’s taken him half his life to feel good about himself about this. His many fandoms include sci-fi, fantasy, anime, comics, and gaming, both video and tabletop. He lives in Eastern NC with his loving wife Merry and works by day as a mail carrier throughout Pitt and surrounding counties which sometimes leads to pleasantly surprising encounters with nature. While on the road for work, depending on radio reception and personal mood, Michael enjoys classical music, J-pop, K-pop, or soundtracks from his favorite video games or movies. The story in this anthology is his first published work and hopes that more will follow.

Meet the Author : Rose J. Fairchild

According to Rose her submisson was inspired by my daughter’s loss of her first top front tooth. “As she gently placed it in the little box we use for the tooth fairy, she said with tears in her eyes, ‘I’m really going to miss being a kid.’ “

“Rose lives in upstate NY with her husband, two kids, and furry companions. She works at a local library where she acts as a clerk and does all the children’s programming, both on and offsite. Currently, she is working on a retelling of “Beauty and the Beast,” which is one of her all-time favorite fairy tales! The main character is based on her grandmother—one of the strongest people she’s ever had the pleasure of knowing in her life. She (along with Rose’s fiery daughter) is her muse and an inspiration to women everywhere. It has been joyous to include some of her life experiences in Rose’s novel, and she hopes someday to share it with the world”

We are truly excited to have Rose’s Fairy Dust in Through the Sunshine.

Teaser Tuesday

It’s that time again!

Tell us about your work in progress! Or something that you have published! Or link to some one else’s great writing to help us see them!

Give us a teaser and links to find you!

Also!!! Remember the Deadline for Through the Sunshine is Friday! We have received a wonderful set of stories and look forward to sharing them with you. We are looking at starting to tell you about the authors involved and more about the anthology starting next week.

Deadline is near

So we extended the deadline! And it was for good… As we have received some more amazing stories since the extension. We really want you to answer the call for submissions! Remember the story requirements are 3500-5000 wc and a light or good fae subject. To enter send it as a doc format to faecorpspublishing@gmail.com with the subject of Through the Sunshine.

We will be helping the authors in the anthology by editing the stories, so if it is a first draft it is still acceptable. We look forward to what you are sending us!

Prompt!

This looks like an entrance from the faerie realm. Does it inspire you? Write a poem about it and send it to us. We will feature it on our social media. Write a story and we may use it in Through the Sunshine – our upcoming anthology. Deadline was extended til Feb 14th at midnight!

Enjoy coming up with something and let us see what you got!

Happy Writing!

Call for submissions!

We are in process of processing the poetry that came in. In the discussion of layout, it was decided that we would look for a couple of short faery stories and some art to decorate the pages of the anthology.

So we are opening up a call for art and short stories. We are setting a deadline for the 15th of October. We will be getting back to the people who submitted poetry this week.

This call rules :

  • The submissions must be non erotica. We have decided this anthology as being family friendly.
  • Art submissions must be sent in jpg or png format in email to faecorpspublish@gmail.com
  • Story is not to exceed 5000 words. It is to be sent in doc format to the above address.
  • Both story and art should have a faery or fantasy theme.
  • Though it likely should go without saying, but the work must be yours and capable of publication. If you do not have the publication rights it is not something that we can take. We are not worried about where you have or have not published it before as long as you retain publication rights.
  • We will be willing to take last minute poetry submissions, however the ones recieved before the deadline take priority. Any poems recieved up until the end of this call will be used as we feel that it is useful.
  • We are at this time not able to pay contributors but we are also not charging fees.

Prompt and bonus
