Meet the Author : Tish MacWebber

This is the second time that we have been blessed with working with Tish. Her eye for detail, and general Upbeat personality, make working with her so much fun. Her story continues the story from Under The Mists, though it works as a standalone.

Tish Mac Webber’s writing is her purpose, creativity is her passion, and jewellery designing is her pleasure.
She is the author who is Always Thinking… the jewellery designer who is Always Blinging…The woman who is Always Beautiful… and her superpower is always being full of surprises!

#Tishspiration, her creation, is defined as the art of surprising yourself. She is inspired by the ocean, especially where the Atlantic Ocean kisses the beaches of Cape Breton Island, where her own story began.

Tish MacWebber, Always Blinging… her jewellery designing hobby is the latest addition to her website. Her speciality is creating one of a kind, custom designs for her clients. She loves to delight her customers with her interpretations of what they order, staying true to her gifts of being full of surprises, and putting her talents to full use.

Meet the Author : Deedra Nichole

Deedra Nichole started her published career as Deedra Mosley. In 2018 her life took an interesting turn. After tragedy struck a close friend, Deedra found herself thrust into a whirlwind of change. With a romance ripped out of the pages of a novel, Deedra took a new name in September 2019. She has been with us from the very beginning, being one of the amazing authors in Under The Mists. We are so excited about having her back for this anthology.

Deedra Nichole is an indie author with years’ experience in the indie publishing industry. She has taken her love of the industry and created Deedra Nichole Editing, a service that seeks to make editing affordable for indie authors.

Her writing support group, Write for Me, (On Facebook) hosts tips & fun writing prompts for her close-knit group of fellow writers. November, during NaNoWriMo, you can find her handing out support while carving out stories. She has won the last four years of competitions and plans to continue competing.

As of September 14th, 2019, Deedra Mosley is no more! She is currently enjoying a blissful life of love and change. She took the new name of Deedra Hanekamp, the force behind Deedra Nichole Editing, with new books released under the name Deedra Nichole. Same great stories, same powerhouse editing!

Under the hill by Rose J. Fairchild

This was sent to us a little bit ago but it was lost in email for a time. It was in response to a prompt/picture we shared. We think that Rose did a extraordinary job writing this.

Meet the Author : Rose J. Fairchild

According to Rose her submisson was inspired by my daughter’s loss of her first top front tooth. “As she gently placed it in the little box we use for the tooth fairy, she said with tears in her eyes, ‘I’m really going to miss being a kid.’ “

“Rose lives in upstate NY with her husband, two kids, and furry companions. She works at a local library where she acts as a clerk and does all the children’s programming, both on and offsite. Currently, she is working on a retelling of “Beauty and the Beast,” which is one of her all-time favorite fairy tales! The main character is based on her grandmother—one of the strongest people she’s ever had the pleasure of knowing in her life. She (along with Rose’s fiery daughter) is her muse and an inspiration to women everywhere. It has been joyous to include some of her life experiences in Rose’s novel, and she hopes someday to share it with the world”

We are truly excited to have Rose’s Fairy Dust in Through the Sunshine.

Teaser Tuesday!

Ok… We will be sharing Meet the Author posts for Through the Sunshine starting later today… We still wanted to do the regular posts as well though.

Teaser Tuesday is where you show us what you are working on! Comment some of your newest W. I. P. Or even a bit of a blurb. Don’t have something that you want to share? Then point to another indie to boost their work. Be sure to look through the comments and boost up the ones posted!

Monday sunbeams

Today is the deadline Through the Sunshine. I plan to take the weekend for Cyn and I to go through the entries. Monday there will be a post that will reveal the authors and story titles accepted. We are going to start sharing bios and spotlighting authors after that. We are looking for a June release.

Follow Friday

Okay! Whew, we made it to Friday. Got a social media link to share? Or even better, want to share a link to another indie? Let’s lift each other up! Sharing is caring! And be sure to look into any links that are in the comments before you.

Prompt!

This looks like an entrance from the faerie realm. Does it inspire you? Write a poem about it and send it to us. We will feature it on our social media. Write a story and we may use it in Through the Sunshine – our upcoming anthology. Deadline was extended til Feb 14th at midnight!

Enjoy coming up with something and let us see what you got!

Happy Writing!

Author Spotlight : Cait Marie

Yesterday, we did a book announcement for a indie author. She is not one of the authors that works for us, but we promote all Indies! Today, we thought that you would want to meet the author.

Cait Marie is a Coffee House Writer who also is one of the ones running Functionally Fictional. She has her own blog. The book we told you about is the first of a series of YA books she is publishing.

We asked her how long she has been creative. She responded “I started writing in 2015, but I’ve been creative in other ways (mostly art) my whole life.”

She is one that also supports Indie authors on her Functionally Fiction blog. It features new books and book reviews. It’s fairly awesome.

We asked her how she deals with writer’s block… To be told that she doesn’t really suffer from writer’s block per se. It’s more that she has some days that she just can’t/don’t want to write. She is working on more consistent writing habits. For example, she is trying to write for an hour at least four days a week. Shek joined a group that does writing sprints four nights a week, which is helping a lot.

She has two cats… Koda and Azriel. They are obnoxious, but She loves them. We would love to see them. 👀👀

When asked what she does with her time… “Most of my time goes to reading and writing, but I also love creating spreads in my bullet journal, painting, listening to music, going to concerts, and watching movies and TV.” That sounds like a lot of creativity to us.

We also asked about what got her writing. “I started writing one day partially out of boredom and partially because a book I read didn’t go exactly how I wanted it to. I decided to write my own book so I could include anything I wanted, but I had no idea at the time that I would end up here. I only wrote academically before that and hated it. However, I have always loved reading. My love of books is really what got me where I am today. It’s why I started Functionally Fictional, which led to me becoming involved in the book community.” We are glad she did.

Teaser Tuesday

It’s that time again!

Tell us about your work in progress! Or something that you have published! Or link to some one else’s great writing to help us see them!
